Flight C -- Censored
Flight C had 127 dogs called back. The second test for Flight C is named "Censored" because the Judges really wanted to name it something else and the Hunt Test Committee "censored" their suggestion. The scene is a lake with a land/water test using ducks. The test consists of a walk-up flyer, a water blind a double and a land blind. As you walk from the holding blind to the mat, a flyer stations shoots to the right away from the water landing in a short, cut grass field. Before this bird is picked up, the dog is asked to run the water blind; the scenario being that you are going for a cripple that was shot before it gets away. The line to this blind parallels the water then enters the water for a short swim, where they must cross a long peninsula. They must re-enter the water and swim across the water to the far shore where the blind is planted close to a stand of trees.
Upon the dog's return from the blind, a double is shot. The first bird is located on the shore between the peninsula and the water blind. It throws to the right away from the water. The next bird is on the bank at the base of the peninsula throwing towards the tip end. If the dog successfully picks up the double and the initial flyer, he is asked to run a land blind. The line to this blind catches a piece of water behind the flyer station, the backside of the peninsula bird station and under the arc of the longest bird.
